About HMUSA
mission statement
Heart Mountain United Soccer provides a competitive travel experience to players aged 6-14. Currently, close to 75 players compete in 4 age divisions. HMUSA serves the youth of Powell and surrounding communities by offering a safe environment to build leadership and teamwork skills while providing a healthy physical activity for youth.
HMUSA would like to develop positive attitudes of coaches, soccer players, athletes and members of the community. We would like to develop and enhance skills, promote sportsmanship, mutual respect and teamwork and teach love for the game. Also please remember, These are kids, This is a game, The coaches are volunteers, The referees are human so please respect all members.
HMUSA strives to create a soccer environment that enables athletes to become complete soccer players. The technical and tactical aspects of soccer are taught in an enthusiastic and challenging atmosphere, while enhancing the physical and mental capabilities of the player. Each player will be afforded the opportunity to compete at the highest level that their ability will allow. Club Soccer is not rec soccer; it is for those that are ready for the next level and beyond.
We’re teaching experienced players the skills they need to play at higher levels. We understand there is more to life than just our sport, but do expect a pretty substantial commitment. Playing time must be earned at this level. Most tournaments that Heart Mountain attends are played on Saturday and Sundays.
If you are interested in having a child participate on one of the Heart Mountain soccer teams, please contact us. Feel free to email anyone on the Board for more information.
